Optimize Your T/Gel Treatments for Best Results

Neutrogena T/Gel®

Can I use T/Gel with color-treated, gray, or light-colored hair?

Healthy, naturally blond hair is usually very resistant to the light colorations used in shampoos and hair products. However, many people with gray or color-treated hair worry about the effects tinted shampoos will have on their hair color or texture. There is the slight possibility that amber tints will affect the color of your hair, especially if it has been lightened to very blond or platinum. In that case, you should protect your color by rinsing thoroughly and always following up with a rich and moisturizing conditioner. Neutrogena has several excellent conditioners for protecting dry and damaged hair. To keep fragile, color-treated hair from becoming damaged, try to stick to no more than four shampoos a week, and only wash once per session—there's no need to rinse and repeat. Daily washing and failing to
use a conditioner to seal in color can accelerate fading.
